About Us

St. Petersburg Catholic High School, Inc. is a four-year, co-educational college-prep institution located in south Pinellas County in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to educate and inspire all students to be good Christians and honest citizens.  In the spirit of St John Bosco, we will collaborate to create a caring and safe environment, which allows each student to grow spiritually, academically, and socially.

The present enrollment is 314 students with a faculty to student ratio of 1:10.  Fiftytwo percent of the facutly/staff have Master's degrees or higher.  St. Petersburg Catholic High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Graduation requirements include completion of 28 credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.0, along with at least 20 hours of community service per year.  According to their ability level, students may opt for College Prep, Honors, Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment Courses.

St. Petersburg Catholic High School is a member in good standing of the Florida High School Athletic Association, and offers a wide variety of team sports.  We believe that athletics and recreation play a vital role in the development of the whole person.  Our athletic teams, coaches, and staff are committed to excellence, fair play, and sportsmanship.  The trophies and banners displayed in our gym, which highlight our district, regional, and state titles, are a testament to the overall success of our Baron sports program.

The Youth Ministry program at SPCHS seeks to offer opportunities for the members of our school community to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Varied prayer experiences, the celebration of the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation, together with the study of Scripture helps to make possible a deeper knowledge of Jesus and a commitment to a Gospel way of life.  Our Service Program teaches students to reach out to people who have real needs and to contribute to the good of the community in which they live.

In addition to athletics and youth ministry SPCHS offers a variety of other clubs and organizations which students may join.

Interested students and their families are encouraged to contact our Admissions Office to arrange for a tour of our school (admissions@spchs.org).
