Mr. Bubolz began his career at the Glenwood School in Chicago as a teacher, Dean of Students, and Residential Care Worker. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and completed his Masters in Educational Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He has spent the last 14 years in Catholic Schools, most recently serving as the principal of the Cathedral School of St. Jude. He and his wife Nicole have nine children, four of whom will be students at St. Petersburg Catholic next year.
In addition to Mr. Bubolz, Bishop Gregory Parkes appointed Fr. Anthony Ustick as full-time chaplain. While his main focus will be the spiritual needs of the students and families, he will work together with Mr. Bubolz in the administration and leadership of the school. A native of Pinellas County, he was raised in the Largo-Clearwater area and ordained to the Priesthood in May of 2015. Most recently, he was the parochial vicar at the Cathedral of St. Jude.
Chris Pastura, Superintendent for the Diocese of St. Petersburg, expressed his excitement for the new school leaders. “I couldn’t be more pleased to have Ross and Fr. Anthony leading our faculty and staff at St. Pete Catholic. They are the perfect team to move us into the future because they share an authenticity of faith and a love for working with young people.”
