All awards are granted annually and must be reapplied for each year. Amounts vary based on FACTS-determined need and available donor funding.

**Applications submitted after April 30, 2026, must include an Appeal Form requesting consideration by the Scholarship Committee.

STATE ASSISTANCE

Family Empowerment Scholarship Educational Scholarship (FES EO)

A parent or guardian of any student may apply for and receive from the state a scholarship if the student is a Florida resident and is eligible to enroll in kindergarten through grade 12 in a public school in this state. St. Petersburg Catholic High is approved to participate in this scholarship program.

Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES UA)

The FES-UA, formerly known as McKay and Gardiner Scholarships, is designed to offer families of students with unique abilities tuition assistance for private school. St. Petersburg Catholic High is approved to participate in this scholarship program. Please see the FES UA family handbook on the Step Up for Students website for qualifying diagnosis.

DIOCESAN ASSISTANCE

CSTAG Diocesan Assistance Application will close on April 30, 2026

Catholic Student Tuition Assistance Grant (CSTAG) is a financial need-based scholarship for Catholic families who are actively participating in a parish within the Diocese of St. Petersburg. CSTAG scholarship may be combined with other grants and scholarships accepted.

Application fee: $38 (Applications submitted for CSTAG will automatically be reviewed for SPCHS tuition assistance and require no additional fee.)

Application Instructions

All families are expected to apply for and receive a State of Florida scholarship (SUFS). Please visit Step Up for Students to find the scholarship applicable for your student/family.
W2s, 1099s (if applicable), and tax returns must be uploaded.
Decisions are made on a rolling basis until all budgeted monies are dispersed.

MARY C. FORBES

Mary C. Forbes Application will close on April 30, 2026

The Mary C. Forbes Foundation scholarship is available for Catholic students residing within the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Florida, who apply to attend a Catholic elementary, middle or high school. The student must be an active parishioner of the Roman Catholic faith. While the award of a scholarship shall be based significantly upon financial need, academic merit shall also be evaluated, taking into consideration the grade level of the applicant. The Mary C. Forbes Foundation scholarship may be combined with other grants and scholarships accepted.

W2s, 1099s (if applicable), tax returns and proof of sacraments may be required for application.
Decisions are made by the Mary C. Forbes Foundation.
Any Mary C. Forbes awards are one-time awards and must be applied for each year at St. Petersburg Catholic.

SCHOOL ASSISTANCE

SPCHS School Assistance Application will close on April 30, 2026*

ALL families at SPCHS can apply for financial assistance. Please note, all families requesting financial assistance from SPCHS will be required to submit an application to the Florida School Choice Scholarship program facilitated through the approved scholarship funding organization Step Up for Students and renew annually. To be eligible, a family must submit a FACTS Grant & Aid Application and the amount of the award is dependent on demonstrated financial need. SPCHS scholarships may be combined with other grants and scholarships accepted.

Application fee: $38 (Applications submitted for CSTAG will automatically be reviewed for SPCHS tuition assistance and require no additional fee.)

Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Sacred Heart of Jesus scholarship was created in honor of our 50th Anniversary as a co-ed Catholic institution for students who exhibit exceptional academic credentials, particularly those whose High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores rank among the top of prospective freshman applicants.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus scholarships are distinct from, and sometimes in addition to, the need-based financial aid awards provided by the Diocese of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg Catholic High School. These scholarships are available at various levels for students who take the HSPT in November and December. This scholarship is not applied for; it is granted based on HSPT scores. The scholarship will be disbursed over four years of enrollment and applied toward tuition expenses.

IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

Immaculate Heart of Mary

Baron Top Scholar

The Baron Top Scholar scholarship was established for students who exhibit exceptional academic credentials and attend a Catholic school in the lower Pinellas County area.

These scholarships are distinct from, and sometimes in addition to, the need-based financial aid awards provided by the Diocese of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg Catholic High School. Available at various levels, the scholarships are granted based on academic information provided by school administrators, rather than through an application process. The scholarship will be disbursed over four years of enrollment and applied toward tuition expenses.
