Hello Parents,

Our faculty and staff are excited to meet you and your students for a Shadow Day! During these unique times, it is nice to still have the opportunity to welcome families to our campus in person. With that being said, since we are taking extra precautions, Shadow Days will look a little different this fall.

I want to make families aware of the following points/what to expect due to COVID:

Due to social distancing, there is limited space for desks in classrooms. Shadowing Students may be seated in a separate chair rather than a desk depending on which classes his/her Student Ambassador is in during the 3rd and 4th periods of the Shadow Day.
Part of the SPCHS Reopening Plan involves a set seating chart for SPCHS students. Because of this, Shadowing Students may be seated separately from their Student Ambassador in class.
Shadowing Students (as well as current SPCHS students) are required to wear masks throughout the day. Students may take off their mask if they are drinking.
To minimize contact and keep masks secure, there will not be an opportunity for Shadowing Students to eat on campus. Please make sure that your child has had breakfast/a snack before the Shadow Day.
Shadowing Students may still bring a water bottle.

Below are more details about the day:

Shadow Days are from 9:15am - 12:00pm.
Shadowing students may wear their current school uniforms. If they do not have a school uniform, they may wear a polo shirt and shorts of an appropriate length or pants.

Drop-Off:

In order to ensure the safety of our visiting students and families, we ask that you do not enter through the front office. Please sign in/enter through the white gate entrance in front of the new Learning Commons.
You can refer to the map below if needed!

There will be signage and staff at the entrance to welcome you.

After checking in inside the Learning Commons, Shadowing Students will then be guided to the Auditorium where they will listen to a brief presentation.

Parents have the option to stay for this portion as well! After the presentation, parents are dismissed and students will accompany their Student Ambassadors to their classes for the remaining part of the Shadow Day.

Pick-Up:

The Shadow Day will end at 12:00pm and students will be ready for pick up in the Learning Commons.

If your child is carpooling with a person who is not their guardian, please email Catherine Carmona at ccarmona@spchs.org with the driver's name and your permission.
