Annual Canned Food Drive

For over a decade, St. Petersburg Catholic High School has partnered with Day Star in conducting an annual canned food drive for their food pantry. Day Star is a local non-profit providing access to the needy in what has been dubbed a “food desert” of Southern Pinellas County. This means that access to affordable groceries is lacking in that area. Day Star relies on our donations to keep its shelves stocked for the many people they serve. We consider it a privilege to provide for them in this way and the good work that they do. 

Each year, through competitive class contests, we rally together and donate thousands of cans to Day Star during the month of November. This St. Petersburg Catholic tradition reminds our school community of the many things we have to be thankful for and our obligation to serve the poor and needy as disciples of Christ.
