High School Placement Test (HSPT)

 

Students must submit an application with a non-refundable application fee to St. Petersburg Catholic High School in order to take the HSPT at St. Petersburg Catholic High School. 

 

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a national high school exam written by Scholastic Testing Services and required for incoming freshmen. Prospective students may only take the test once.

 

A supplemental writing portion will also be administered by St. Petersburg Catholic High School. Scores may be shared with other schools using the same exam. 

 

Preparation guides for the HSPT, a nationally standardized test, can be purchased at local bookstores or online.

 

 

Pre-HSPT

 

St. Petersburg Catholic High School offers the Pre-High School Placement Test (Pre-HSPT) in the spring for current 7th graders. The Pre-HSPT is intended to help students become more familiar with the different sections of the HSPT under timed conditions. Space is limited. A non-refundable test administration fee must be submitted to St. Petersburg Catholic High School in order to take the Pre-HSPT at St. Petersburg Catholic High School.
