Growing up in Ohio, Mrs. Balado always knew that she wanted to be a teacher. She earned her Master’s Degree from Youngstown State University and was an Associate Dean of General Studies at a technical college for over five years. She also ran a government program through HUD that helped students in the program to get off the streets, learn to read, and graduate. Her favorite memory of teaching is when at graduation the students were handed roses to give to someone that inspired them the most. One of the graduates gave Mrs. Baldado his rose because she helped him stay in school and graduate. In her free time, Mrs. Baldado loves to spend time with her three daughters.
