Student Government Association, SGA, consists of elected and appointed students who advocate for the student body and offer varied strategies to build community and school spirit. The Executive Board consists of elected positions: Student Body President, Student Body Vice President, Bursar, Press Secretary, Chief of Staff, and Corresponding Secretary. Appointed positions consist of Parliamentarian and Chaplin. Each class council consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and 5 Senators.
SGA is responsible for meeting with administrators and providing a student voice in certain school decisions. We are also responsible for community and spirit building by planning yearly events like Pep Rallies, Homecoming, Christmas Week, Prom, and Anniversary Week. SGA members are considered role models in their roles as liaisons between the administration and the student body. Students work closely with the adviser and administration, but all events and activities are the direct result of student ideas, planning, and implementation.
