Honor Society Applications

REQUIREMENTS

• Grades 10-12
• Accrued 10 thespian points (equivalent to 100 hours of work with the SPCHS Performing Arts or other area of community and/or professional theatres)
• One point represents approximately 10 hours of excellent work
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Offered to all students who qualify

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have credit for 4 semesters of high school mathematics taken in high school
• Currently taking an honors or advanced placement math course
• Enrolled in Algebra II Honors or higher
• Have a 3.75 weighted GPA for all high school math classes
• Have a minimum 3.0 overall unweighted GPA
• As a junior must complete 12 hours of service while in MAO to remain in MAO
• As a senior must complete 15 hours of service before May 1 to earn the MAO Honor Cord
• Dues:

  • Veteran Members $15

REQUIREMENTS

• The Quill & Scroll is offered to students interested in or who have been taking classes in photography, multimedia, journalism, composition, Yearbook, film, etc.

• Members must meet high academic standards and demonstrate superior work in student media, maintain a B average or better, and/or top 3rd in their class.

• Dues: $30

• Must have completed two core courses in the field of Social Studies (one of which must have been at the Honors or AP level).

• Must be currently enrolled in an Honors or AP level Social Studies course.

• Have a 3.5 GPA overall

• Have a 3.7 GPA in all Social Studies course

REQUIREMENTS

• Have an unweighted cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Have an unweighted 3.75 GPA in science courses
• 11th grade must have taken or be currently enrolled in a science honors or AP class with a minimum of 3 credits in science or 2 credits plus current enrollment in 3rd science
• 12th grade must have taken or be currently enrolled in 2nd science honors or AP class with a minimum of 4 credits in science or 3 credits plus current enrollment in 4th science

REQUIREMENTS

• Any secondary student who has maintained an honor average of 3.0 GPA or higher in the study of Spanish for a minimum of 3 semesters
• Any student who is currently in the 10th grade or higher
• Meet criteria for character, leadership, honor, seriousness of purpose and service
• Participate in society meetings
• Dues: $10

*Students are eligible to serve as an officer with continued study in Spanish and payment of annual dues.

• Must have an 87.5% average cumulative score in both French classes and general GPA
• Participate in all society activities
• Fulfill the yearly requirements of 10 points earned through participation in society activities
