Archbishop Hurley Bequest Society

Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley, head of the Diocese of St. Augustine for over 27 years, is responsible for establishing both Bishop Barry High School and Notre Dame Academy in 1957 and 1962.  His visionary leadership for Catholic education in St. Petersburg and throughout the state of Florida set the foundation for St. Petersburg Catholic High School as Bishop Barry and Notre Dame Academy merged to become St. Petersburg Catholic in 1973.

The Archbishop Hurley Bequest Society has been created to recognize those benefactors who remember St. Petersburg Catholic High School in their wills, bequests, or other estate gifts such as annuities, life insurance, and remainder trusts.

If you have made arrangements for a gift to St. Pete Catholic in your estate planning and wish to be listed as a member of the Archbishop Hurley Bequest Society, or are interested in learning more about leaving St. Pete Catholic in your will, please contact Dr. Lily Abadal, Director of Advancement at advancement@spchs.org or (727) 344-4065.
