Born in Panama, Mrs. Hernandez came to the United States and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Broward College. She has completed an educator program from NASA at Kennedy Space Center and regularly volunteers for Keep Pinellas Beautiful and other similar non-profit organizations. Mrs. Hernandez has been able to work closely with shark scientists out in the field. She loves inspiring the new generation and getting them excited about science. In her free time, Mrs. Hernandez enjoys being outdoors freediving, paddleboarding, and camping.
