The Admissions Cycle/Timeline
Choosing your child’s secondary education is an important decision. Throughout the school year, we host a variety of events on our campus to give you the information you need to make that decision. By attending these events, your family can get a better understanding of our faculty, staff, academics, athletics, and what it’s like to be a Baron.
In order to better assist families during their transition from middle school to high school, we have included a timeline of events that SPCHS follows when considering applicants for the incoming Freshman class. However, applications can be filled out and submitted at any point before the December deadline. We encourage you to apply early to secure your seat.
Application & Acceptance
September 1st, 2021- Applications for the class of 2026 are available! Click here to apply!
*Students who apply to SPCHS by Nov. 1st are automatically signed up for the Nov. 6th HSPT.*
October 14th, 2021 - Visit St. Petersburg Catholic’s Open House! Click here to sign up!
Nov. 6th, 2021 - HSPT at SPCHS. The High School Placement Test is needed in order to begin the admissions decision-making process and is used for placement purposes. Students who take the HSPT on this date have the opportunity to be awarded scholarships which will be contributed to their tuition at SPCHS. Scholarships will be awarded to the top scorers who completed the test on this day only.
Nov. 8th, 2021 - During this week, SPCHS will be requesting records from current middle schools.
December (day TBD) - This is the make up date for the HSPT for families that applied after Nov. 6th or were unable to come on the Nov. 6th date.
December 6th, 2021 - This is the last day SPCHS will be accepting records from schools in order for applicants to be included in our first consideration for the 2021-2022 school year. In order to secure your spot and avoid being placed on a wait list, we recommend submitting your application in time for first consideration.
Dec. 13th, 2021 - Decision letters will be mailed to students with applications submitted before Christmas break.
Families are still able to submit applications after Christmas, but applications will be considered on a rolling basis and may be placed on a wait list due to limited space in the cohort.
January 21st, 2021 - Students accepted during the first consideration period (September-December) must submit the online registration packet by this date in order to secure a seat for the class of 2026.
Feb. 14th, 2021 - Confirmation of Registration at SPCHS from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
