There are several ways to make a gift to St. Petersburg Catholic High School. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all monetary gifts to St. Pete Catholic are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Upon receipt of your donation, we will send you an official acknowledgement of your gift. Please retain this acknowledgement for your tax purposes. See the information below to find the most suitable way for YOU to support SPCHS. 

 

Ways to Give

A one- time gift by check or credit card; a pledge payable in installments; or recurring gifts are typical. For your convenience, you may make your Annual Fund gift now through our online giving form. Click on the Baron Fund link below:

Matching Gifts

You might be able to double the size of your gift to SPC simply by checking with your employer about matching gifts.

Many companies match gifts their employees make to non-profit organizations such as St. Petersburg Catholic High School. With no additional expense to you, this tremendous benefit provided by your employer enables you to double the dollar amount of your gift to St. Petersburg Catholic High School.

You will receive full acknowledgement for the total amount of the matching gift. For example, if you donate $500 and your employer matches your gift, you will be credited for a $1,000 gift. Please check with your employer to find out if they offer matching gifts.

 

Gifts of Stock

A gift of appreciated stock is a most advantageous form of giving. These benefits include:

  • Incur no capital gains taxes on appreciated securities
  • Qualify for an income tax deduction
  • Planned gifts such as endowments and Charitable Gift Annuities can be funded through stock transfers

 

Stock transfers are managed through the brokerage account of the Diocese of St. Petersburg but the gift benefits St. Petersburg Catholic High School. Planned Giving: The Baron Legacy Society

 

Planned Gifts refers to estate assets that are given in support of long range goals. Those who remember St. Petersburg Catholic in their wills, bequests and other estate gifts such as life insurance policies, annuities, remainder trusts, etc., are members of the Baron Legacy Society, and are vital to preserving the future of St. Petersburg Catholic High School. 

Many planned gifts are in the form of a trust. Charitable Lead trusts, Charitable Remainder trusts are devised by an attorney and established with the trust department of a bank or a trust company. But there are simpler planned gift arrangements such as endowment funds and charitable gift annuities.

The Baron Legacy Society members are those who have indicated in writing that they have made provisions for St. Petersburg Catholic High School in their estate plans. In addition to being a meaningful gift to St. Petersburg Catholic High School, “planned giving” helps to reduce or eliminate taxes.  Please check with your financial planner or accountant for more details on arranging for a planned gift, and the personal benefits associated with that charitable gift.
